Since day one, Cultura Solutions established a strong reputation for crafting exceptional candidate and client experiences leading to extensive, consistent growth and the firm being ranked a top 20 executive search firm in the Twin Cities four times over the last six years. 

As Cultura continues its strategic growth while remaining laser focused on a unique and disruptive model, our team is looking to expand the Delivery practice. Specifically adding a Delivery Manager who will support our Principal Delivery Manager in scaling the business and driving operational efficiencies centered on a performance-driven search model.

We partner with middle-market and enterprise corporations mainly across 3 vertical categories - Consumer Markets (Retail/CPG/D2C), Industrial Markets (Advanced Manufacturers/Industrial Services), and Commercial Services (CRE Developers/Commercial and Specialty Contractors) - to help them identify, engage with, and hire impactful senior executives and their successors within the core business services functions of their organizations. History

Cultura Solutions was founded nearly 7 years ago by Brian Peterson, Founder & Managing Partner, who as a strong performer in a broken industry envisioned a search firm which focused less on client volume, and rather offered more dedication to service, delivery excellence, and higher success rates. As a leader he set out to build something special. Each year the firm has seen steady growth and strategic hiring decisions were made to continue to advance the practice while keeping company culture a top priority. In 2018 Lexy Johnson, Director of Executive Search focusing on the Commercial Services Industry, joined the firm and hit the pavement hard. Lexy has become the face of our firm, and a cultural glue necessary to our continued success. She keeps our team energized, helps us all maintain a positive outlook, and has taught us what it means to approach clients with truly relational touch. Then in 2021 Michael Tebon joined Cultura as Principal Delivery Manager. Michael is one of the most effective search delivery professionals in the industry and has helped us prove out the relative scalability of our search model. His presence has been instrumental in providing our firm clear opportunities for our continued, steady growth. Next, in early 2023, Matt Jensen was brought on to the team as Director of Executive Search tasked with leveraging his extensive background building executive search practices for fortune 500 enterprise corporations, particularly within Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Markets, to drive the continued growth of the firm's portfolio. Matt maintains an incredibly strong network of executives across North America, and has garnered a reputation as a skilled relationship builder who earns trust quickly from clients, offering valuable insights and counsel around effective leadership hiring strategies. Finally in summer of 2023, Emily Bryant was brought on as Operations Manager with a mission to help the firm create an unparalleled client and candidate experience by not only ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, but also by assisting practice leaders in crafting a more personal and progressive search experience through customized digital deliverables.

We specialize in recruiting C-Level executives, and their direct report "succession plan" leaders, across the corporate business service functions of our partner organizations. These are the upper level managers who show tremendous promise to succeed senior executive leadership. Organizations today are most challenged by effectively identifying and hiring this particular level of leadership talent - we solve this problem.

Cultura has seen impressive growth over the last handful of years. Beginning with a single founder who had a vision and impressive work ethic to now a reputable firm with an agile and highly successful team of five who each bring a diversity of experience and strengths to the table. As the team has grown, Cultura Solutions has seen steady financial growth as well, driving seven figure revenue in 2023 through excellence in execution and unparalleled client satisfaction that has led to steady client loyalty and repeat business. This past year the firm set lofty goals and achieved them on nearly all fronts. Toward the back half of the year Cultura saw such an influx in clients that we ultimately had to turn away business in order to maintain the promises of our mission and vision. This is where you come in - we want to continue scaling our team to unleash the potential of our delivery model and onboard new clients. All signs point to 2024 being the firms best year yet by all measures.

Brian Peterson

Founder & Managing Partner

As Founder and Managing Partner, Brian leads all operational and strategic activities of the firm while heading up the firm's Building Products and Consumer Markets practice.  Over the last 13 years, Brian has led hundreds of unique executive level search projects for organizations of all sizes from PE-backed startups to fortune 100 global enterprises.  Starting his career with one of the largest search firms in the United States, he elevated to the number-one producing lead recruiter in the country while guiding and mentoring a team of around 20 associate recruiters. Brian was then hired into a top 15 Minneapolis-based executive search firm where he was the top biller, successfully executing retained search assignments for VP and Chief level hiring executives at companies across varied industry verticals including building materials, retail, manufacturing, and consulting.

Since launching Cultura Solutions in 2016, Brian has engaged with some of the foremost Minnesota-based Building Product and Specialty Retail organizations in helping to define and execute leadership hiring initiatives, all while supporting the continued development of the firm's staff and investing in the continued innovation of the firm's differentiating assets. Having experienced the downfalls of the search industry, Brian is on a mission to maintain Cultura Solutions' reputation as the most trusted search partner in the business.

Michael joined Cultura Solutions as Principal Delivery Manager to scale the business and drive operational efficiencies. Michael began his career at the largest technology search firm in the country where he quickly became one of the most trusted search consultants at the firm, delivering with excellence for his constituents. He successfully led critical search engagements for the firm’s premier enterprise clients including Optum, Wells Fargo, Assurant, Delta, and more. Michael was then hired into Optum Advisory Services, the second largest healthcare management consulting firm in the United States, where he was involved in critical consulting engagements spanning the healthcare landscape from digital product management to functional payer, provider collaboration projects. In a recruiting industry that lacks transparency and trust, Michael is committed to tirelessly helping Cultura Solutions stand out as the most trusted leadership search partner in the Twin Cities.

A Day in the Life

Outside of the people, one of the most critical components to Cultura's success as a firm has been the development of a scalable and repeatable process that allows us to deliver at an uncommon level on every search engagement we commit to. Ultimately it's our Delivery engine that makes that happen. Reporting to the Principal Delivery Manager, we are looking to build out our delivery team by hiring a Delivery Manager who will have the opportunity to execute full cycle recruiting of impactful mid to senior level leaders across a variety of core business functions for our client's including Marketing, Operations, IT, Sales, Finance, and/or Human Resources. In this role, you will partner with the firm's principals and client-partners to define strategic hiring objectives and talent gaps. You will engage collaboratively to craft custom approaches and search strategies for the individual search assignment through comprehensive research and sourcing efforts. You will build and maintain comprehensive prospect lists of leaders and support creative and engaging outreach and messaging efforts. Ultimately you will have the opportunity to grow your search delivery skills and make an impact alongside a highly collaborative and experienced team.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with internal and external hiring stakeholders to drive an understanding of the client’s talent gap and strategic hiring objective.

  • Crafts a custom and creative research/delivery strategy for each particular search engagement

  • Conducts extensive outreach and deep-dive assessments of prospective leadership candidates

  • Evaluates all critical skills and experiences of each prospective candidate via phone and in-person. 

  • Remains knowledgeable and abreast of leading industry trends, recruiting best practices, human capital insights, market intel, etc. 

  • Digital asset creation and documentation for prospective candidates to share each client-partner’s story in a compelling way.

  • Builds strong relationships with candidate prospects in assessing their qualifications, their ability to transition to a new opportunity, their cultural fit, and compatibility to our client-partner’s hiring needs and organization.

  • Offers counsel and guidance through the compensation negotiation process to assignment completion.

  • Utilizes CRM systems to document and track all communications, candidate prospect profiles, and client-partner engagements.

  • Establishes and maintains a sphere of influence with professional industry contacts.

  • Assists client-partners in interviewing the process of prospective leaders, as well as offer and on-boarding, if applicable.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned by firm leaders.

  • Offers suggestions and new ideas to drive the continued growth and evolution of the firm’s operational processes.

  • Participates in business development processes and client meetings to assist in the growth of the firm’s client-base.

  • This role requires extensive phone work - if you are not comfortable engaging with people via telephone, this opportunity is not a fit for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the recruiting industry or related field, such as sales, commercial real estate, customer service, insurance, or other 

  • Extremely passionate about helping organizations thrive through hiring impactful leaders

  • Interested in continued professional growth, development, and education - highly coachable

  • Experience meeting deadlines in a project delivery capacity

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills and ability to tell engaging stories

  • Ability to work within a start-up environment with constantly shifting priorities
