Founded in 1954, Mortenson Construction is a U.S.-based, private, family-owned construction company. From humble beginnings, son of a Swedish immigrant, M.A. "Mort" Mortenson set out to build something special and was committed to working around the clock, and employing his wife to wear many hats, to get this business off the ground initially. As the future generations of family continued to invest in the business over the decades, the passion, hard work, and dedication ultimately grew the business to where it is today.
