In its most recent fiscal year, Renewal by Andersen generated over $3.5 Billion in total sales across its network of 100+ field locations throughout the United States and into Canada. As Renewal continues driving major organic growth and expansion, it recognizes that one of its most opportunistic markets for a focused growth strategy is Renewal by Andersen of Cleveland. RbA Cleveland is an established company-owned market operation that maintains a team of roughly 100 total people on track to drive $50M in sales this year covering a vast footprint in northeast Ohio ripe for further market penetration. Renewal's executive team looks to identify the next senior leader to carry the baton in Cleveland, and introduce fresh perspective along with developing a world-class leadership team. With consistent and considerable year-over-year performance including an overall NPS score in the mid 80s, this leader will join and lead a strong leadership bench as they continue the growth and maturation of this market.

Renewal by Andersen is the full service, direct-to-consumer window replacement division of Andersen Corporation, North America's largest and most reputable window and door manufacturer and brand. Renewal is the fastest-growing division of Andersen Corporation, with 20%+ year-over-year growth over nearly the last decade.

History

Andersen Corporation was founded in 1903 along the Saint Croix River by Hans Andersen and his family. In the mid 1990's, having established itself as a top brand in its category, Andersen saw an opportunity to introduce a custom replacement window division. Renewal by Andersen was born of this decision roughly 25 years ago as the vertically integrated, full-service direct-to-consumer “replacement window” division of Andersen and has since grown tremendously, driving major bottom-line performance and extensive innovation across Andersen's enterprise.

Craig Cook

AREA DIRECTOR (DIRECT MANAGER)

Craig is the regional leader accountable for the success of Renewal's Cleveland, Chicago, Orange County, Twin Cities and Los Angeles markets. He began his career at Andersen in 2003 working in a variety of impactful supply chain and manufacturing roles, developing a keen eye for process and continuous improvement. As a result of this expertise, Craig moved into the operations side of the business for Renewal, eventually developing and leading the national strategy for operations and installation across all of North America. Moreover, what's most impressive about Craig is his innate ability to develop other leaders, doing so with a people-centric mindset and intentionally learning about each individual team member. He firmly believes if he "takes care of his people, they will take care of the business". With a curious mindset, Craig is not afraid to dive into details learning how his team may better execute in three main areas; employee experience, homeowner experience, and financial performance.

Tim maintains a reputation as one of the most impactful former General Managers to have led within Renewal's company-owned retail network in the last 10 years who grew Renewal's Twin Cities market by over 4x during his tenure in the role, earning several promotions thereafter. He now leads all of RbA's company-owned markets across the US. Tim is a working leader with tremendous knowledge of Renewal's uniquely nuanced business model and demonstrates an ultra-focus on organizational culture design, leadership development initiatives, and hiring incredibly aspirational, talented people. He is a positive and empathetic "servant leader" who puts people first, and has a history of driving unparalleled levels of performance within his areas of accountability. Tim's direct reports consider him a "partner" type leader, versus strictly a boss. He sets clear expectations for his leadership team, and gives them full autonomy to drive their own unique approach within their business.

Tim Ruff is the most notable in-home sales leader, and training leader, to have worked at Renewal by Andersen since its inception. He is an extremely high-energy sales professional who currently sits in a consultative leadership role, working elbow-to-elbow with each sales team across Renewal's nationwide network, including Cleveland, to help guide and develop sales management and design consultant teams. He maintains an incredibly strong depth of understanding of the complex in-home sales model at Renewal, and drives tremendous success into each sales team across Renewal's network.

A Day in the Life

Renewal's executive team seeks a General Manager in Cleveland to assume accountability over 100+ talented employees, including ~5 leaders, across field marketing, in-home sales, installation, and operations covering a growing market across northeast Ohio. RbA Cleveland is on track for a banner year, targeting a record high of ~$50M in sales in 2022 along with one of the highest NPS and customer satisfaction scores across their North American network. That said, the business is very healthy along with their bottom line, but is prepared for a change-agent leader who can revitalize culture and drive a modernized growth strategy. The next General Manager in Cleveland will inherit a very healthy business, but will also have the rare opportunity to leave their fingerprint on this major market operation both in terms of financial growth but also in the growth of its leadership team and the people across all functions of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage other functional leaders, provide strong leadership, coach others for success, design healthy culture, and foster teamwork in a very fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Drive growth and expansion of the Cleveland market for Renewal product and service offerings leveraging Renewal programs and guidance in ongoing business operations
  • Implement strategies to meet agreed-upon business goals; manage operations to achieve profit and gross margin objectives – full P&L ownership.

  • Construction industry and/or B2C industry experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated skills in managing a full P&L
