The company currently employs 10,000 people across its enterprise with 70 corporate employees supporting the broader veterinary hospital network across the US. With this in mind, the Human Resources leadership team acknowledges the need to standardize their human resources systems by driving process improvement and developing new automated workflows. This HRIS leader will spearhead the transformation of PetVet's people processes by establishing the enterprise's very first decentralized technology group, outside of corporate IT and inside the HR organization, dedicated strictly to supporting human capital technological advancements. Ultimately, they will leverage the necessary technology and automation solutions to effectively arm PetVet with a first class employee experience allowing the corporation to continue it's explosive scaling effort, and touching more lives of animals and their owners.

PetVet Care Centers
PetVet Care Centers, a privately held company, is a national veterinary hospital network consisting of general, specialty, emergency, and equine hospitals which provide passionate care for pets and their owners within the communities they serve. The company mission is not focused on being the "biggest" network, but rather, maintaining the highest quality network enabled by their differentiated approach of honoring and preserving the connections that each veterinary clinic has built with individual communities, the community members, and their beloved pets.
History
PetVet was founded in 2012 by its current CEO, Gino Volpacchio, and is headquartered in Westport, CT. In 2014, PetVet operated just 30 hospitals, but maintained a focus on intelligent growth and creating a distinct value proposition to scale the business. As a result of leadership's patience in setting a strong foundation for the company, PetVet was bought by private equity firm, KKR & Company in December of 2017. With the support of this partnership, PetVet has established a premier, high quality network of nearly 400 hospitals nationwide today which continues to grow exponentially each month.
Veterinary Care
PetVet's business model allows veterinary clinics to "outsource" their core business functions such as payroll, marketing, information technology, human resources, and more. As a result, vets are then able to focus solely on the purpose of their practice, providing the highest level of care to pet owners and their dearest pets. Unlike their competitors, PetVet offers vets the autonomy to practice medical care of how they best see fit, reinforcing the fact they are the true medical leader.
Scale
With a rapidly growing North American footprint, PetVet employs roughly 10,000 people - 70 at the corporate HQ and the remaining working within the field across nearly 400 clinics - and generates roughly $1 billion in annual revenue. Currently, the PetVet network operates in 36 states with the highest concentration of locations on the east and west coasts. The organization is poised for massive continued growth under the funding partnership of its private equity owner, KKR & Co, a powerful investor that maintains an enterprise value of over $550B. PetVet is currently one of the highest performing companies within the KKR & Co portfolio by way of top line growth and bottom line performance.
