Andersen Corporation has a rich 120 year history, starting from humble beginnings in 1903 by Danish immigrant Hans Andersen.  Fast forwarding to today, Andersen is now known as the standalone market leader in the window and door manufacturing industry, creating the highest quality of products along with instituting a first class consumer experience.  The leadership team acknowledges how crucial the Andersen IT organization is to the company's future as they continue to drive change and innovation across the industry.  With this in mind, the leadership team has kick started an enterprise journey towards data democratization, utilizing "self-service" analytics to make data more accessible to more people within the organization.  This will create structured, curated data that any leader within the company can access, resulting in better and faster decision making.  In order for this journey to be successful, this leader will play a critical role in the enterprise data management vertical, leading the enterprise integrations team to ensure the proper centralization of applications and data across the entire enterprise.  This unique and mighty team will have end-to-end visibility into the company and assist standing up the first Governance Board to drive singularity in the way they look at data.

History

Mathew Hoffman

Director of Information Technology (Direct Manager)

Mat has quickly made a tremendous impact on Andersen's enterprise technology organization in just 2 years with the company.  With recent consolidation of Andersen's data teams, he now leads an org consisting of almost 50 people focused on enterprise data management, data governance, and data platforms/infrastructure.  Mat is known throughout the organization for his authentic and caring personality given how much effort and intentionality he puts forth into the development of his team members.  He strongly believes that genuine interactions to fully understand people will result in the most cohesive and trust-oriented team.  Moreover, he is constantly ideating, on a team level, on how to purposefully create and grow the most inclusive team possible, which will ultimately allow them to reach their full potential.  As the team progresses into the future, Mat is establishing an entire Data Governance Board that will streamline processes around data, and create singularity in the ways they look at data and information.  The future is bright in the world of data at Andersen and with Mat at the helm, and there is no better time to jump on board. 

Kelly Aronson

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

A 2021 nominee for "CIO Of The Year" by ORBIE Awards, Kelly Aronson recently succeeded Lance Whitacre as CIO of Andersen's entire enterprise after completely transforming Renewal by Andersen's IT organization starting in 2014. She is an extremely relationship-driven leader, and is very highly respected across Andersen's enterprise given the positive outcomes she has driven over the last 7 years. Kelly is known at Andersen as a "hero" for establishing Renewal by Andersen's IT function as a major differentiator for the business, driving pragmatic innovation across sales automation, mar-tech, augmented reality, and more. Kelly looks forward to investing in continued transformation across Andersen's enterprise IT organization, which offers up-and-coming IT leaders tremendous career growth and development opportunities under her leadership.

A Day in the Life

This leader will play a critical role in driving the broader enterprise integration to a "self-service" analytics model by leading, and continuing to build, three main functional areas/teams; Enterprise Application/Data Integrations (EAI), Master Data Management, and Robotic Process Automation.  Within these three functional areas is a curious and highly skilled team consisting of roughly 6 people with various skillsets related to engineering and integration expertise. With a vast scope, this team could touch any application within the enterprise making it imperative for this leader to comprehend complex systems to properly guide and progress this team into the future. 

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, motivate, develop, and actively coach team members. This includes responsibility for the quality of the services delivered, career development, and welfare of team members.
  • Strategic project portfolio management: resource planning, project prioritization, and overall cross-functional project alignment.
  • Collaborate with IT Director (Mathew Hoffman) to plan long term strategy for governance, integration methodologies, and new technologies 
  • Actively participate in organizations long term Integration strategy including cloud & SaaS migrations 
  • Work with external vendors to source, negotiate, and manage contract resources and solution services.

  • Effectively communicate software solution expectations to internal customers, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security, audit, and risk management policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supervising or managing teams
  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience with Information Technology, Software Development, Data Platforms / Infrastructure 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration preferred).
  • Ability to facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
  • Ability to drive innovation 
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of metrics & roadmaps and provide executive level status on key initiatives/programs
