Renewal by Andersen, the extremely high growth direct-to-consumer replacement window subsidiary organization of Andersen Corporation, has experienced explosive growth and maturation over the last decade as it has become the largest vertically integrated remodeling company in its category. In 2022, Renewal by Andersen generated nearly $4 Billion in gross sales across its network of 100+ field locations throughout the United States and Canada. The construct of that vast network includes several independent Renewal by Andersen affiliate owners, who exclusively market, sell, install, and service Renewal by Andersen products under the signature Renewal by Andersen brand.

One of the largest, most progressive, and highest-growth Renewal by Andersen affiliates in the country is Renewal by Andersen of Washington, Idaho, Central CA, and Hawaii.  Headquartered in Renton, WA, this RbA affiliate team owns and operates 4 major Renewal by Andersen markets across the northwest including RbA of Washington (covering the entire state plus Southern Oregon), RbA of Idaho (covering a large portion of the state), RbA of Central California (Fresno/Bakersfield), and recently-acquired RbA of Hawaii (covering the entire state) collectively generating nearly $200M in annual revenue and employing over 500 people.  Led by President and partial owner, Kat Marriott, this group is in explosive expansion mode having grown over 70% year-over-year the last couple of years, with an aspirational goal of reaching $1B in revenue within the next 5-10 years.  

As they embark on this ambitious, yet realistic revenue goal, the company's most opportunistic region for immediate scalability and substantial growth is Eastern WA.  This region is well-established with a very strong employee morale and culture that will not be sacrificed as leadership continues to invest in growing the market intelligently.  Due to a very intentional hiring approach, the sales team is up-and-coming and very talented, but they need a dedicated leader to help coach, support, and train this team to achieve their maximum potential.  The Eastern WA market is on pace to generate roughly ~$38M in revenue this year with a 4 year plan and strategy to achieve ~$100M in annual revenue by 2027.  The executive team is thrilled to identify their next sales leader in Eastern WA who will help bring this market vision to life and scale the team effectively.

Renewal is the fastest-growing division of Andersen Corporation, with 20%+ year-over-year growth over nearly the last decade.

History

Andersen Corporation was founded in 1903 along the Saint Croix River in Minnesota by Hans Andersen and his family. In the mid 1990's, having established itself as a top brand in its category, Andersen saw an opportunity to introduce a custom replacement window division. Renewal by Andersen was born of this decision over 25 years ago as the vertically integrated, full-service, direct-to-consumer “replacement window” division of Andersen and has since grown tremendously, driving major bottom-line performance and extensive innovation across Andersen's enterprise.  With interest in scaling quickly while not sacrificing brand excellence, Renewal intelligently developed a fully exclusive, independently-owned affiliate program.  Brothers Alex and Matt Gonzalez jumped into Renewal's affiliate program many years ago and now, alongside Kat Marriott (President) and the executive team, own and operate 4 major Renewal by Andersen markets across WA/South OR, ID, Central CA, HI employing over 500 people and generating nearly $200M in annual revenue.

Renewal by Andersen, backed by one of the largest and most prominent voices in the greater building materials industry today, is now truly known as a benchmark in the overarching direct-to-consumer space across the US and into Canada given its increasingly innovative approach to, and major investments in, traditional, non-traditional, and digital marketing, its uncompromising devotion to creating unforgettable end-to-end Customer Experiences, and perhaps most importantly, its dedication to technology disruption. In an industry that is lacking in technological thought-leadership, Renewal is an absolute stand-out.

Renewal by Andersen is by far the largest full-service, vertically integrated remodeling company that exists in North America today.  It drives nearly $4 Billion in gross sales across its 100+ branches in the US and into Canada.  Most exciting is the fact that, while Renewal's top and bottom line performance is incredibly impressive, it is still relatively early in its evolution as an organization with immense marketshare and growth opportunities in front of it.  The continued growth and scalability of Renewal by Andersen is being intensely invested in by the Andersen enterprise.  After 3 recent expansions to Renewal's central production facility in MN, which now totals nearly 1 million square feet, production facility site number 2 has been selected with build-out beginning in 2023, and production facility site number 3 has also been selected with build-out timing TBD.

Brian Jones

Head of Sales - Washington Market (Direct Manager)
Brian is a seasoned sales leader with 20+ years of experience across several diverse industries including sports marketing, healthcare technology, and most recently, building materials. For close to 5 years, Brian has served Renewal as the Sales Leader for their entire WA market and has scaled the territory with great success, growing the team to 40+ sales reps. Outside of work, Brian coaches high school football, which drives his leadership style focused on intentional mentorship, 1:1 coaching, and accountability. Brian is known as one of the best motivators and inspiring leaders at the company; one who is not afraid to get in the trenches with his team, developing and encouraging them to reach their full potential. As he envisions the future for the WA market, Brian is thrilled to identify a new sales manager to help support the growth and maturation of this very opportunistic territory. 

Reggie Harris

Vice President of Sales

Reggie is a 7-year RbA veteran with an impressive career journey.  With very little prior D2C selling experience, Reggie started his career at RbA in 2016 as a Design Consultant and quickly rose to be the top performer in the WA market.  After several promotions from Sales Manager to Director, Reggie is now the Vice President of Sales for all markets including ID, WA, Central CA, and HI.  What's made Reggie so successful is that he doesn't lead from "the top down";  his leadership style is rooted in partnership and inclusivity.  As the central Sales Executive, his calling is to provide the tools and resources for his team to grow, flourish, and reach their maximum potential with little oversight.  Reggie demonstrates a passion for his work; one of his greatest strengths is the ability to motivate, encourage, and support his team through thick and thin.  Not to mention, he's one of the most fun people to be around, and has the ability to bring energy and a sense of liveliness to any environment.  Outside of work, Reggie is an outdoors enthusiast anything from fishing to hiking and he's an avid football and baseball fan. 

Kat Marriott

President

Kat Marriott, President of RbA in Seattle, joined the Renewal by Andersen family in 2012.  When she joined, this organization was generating $5M annually with a team of 35 total people.  With her prior experience leading sales and marketing functions at two other organizations, Kat advanced her career extensively from an events team member to Marketing Manager, Marketing Director, General Manager, and now, President/Owner.  She genuinely believes in servant leadership as she says, "leaders simply don't exist without a team, for without a team to serve, there's no purpose for a leader".  As President of this nearly $200M business, Kat's style is collaborative, open-minded, communicative, and empowering in support of the broader organization.  Kat is a progressive-minded, innovative leader who's interested in surrounding herself with other executives who think outside of the box, not simply focused on solving today's challenges, but positioning the business in getting ahead of tomorrow's opportunities.  Kat and her team are frequently engaging in forward-thinking conversations focused on what do we do today to get where we want to be tomorrow.

Matt Gonzalez, majority owner, bought into the Renewal by Andersen affiliate business over 20 years ago with his brother Alex.  They were early adopters in the affiliate network that Renewal was building across the United States.  They had spent years working for other window and door brands in the building materials space, but since joining RbA, they've never looked back.  Matt has invested heavily in the growth of the business more recently, and has scaled the executive team who have become partial owners in the business alongside him.

A Day in the Life

RbA of WA, ID, CA, & HI is scaling its nearly $200M business extensively, with a laser-focus on expanding and growing their WA market, specifically the Eastern territory.  This is a vast territory covering Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and the Tri-Cities WA area.  Brian Jones, the Head of WA Sales and whom this leader will report to, currently owns and is leading the entire WA market, but due to how far-reaching this territory is, leadership has decided to layer in a sales leader to drive and own the Eastern WA market.  This is a critical sales leadership role that will help the company achieve continued growth through the implementation of company sales strategies, hiring programs, and processes.  RbA of Eastern WA is a ~$38M territory today, however, given the team's extensive market research and comparability to similar nearby territories, they are only scratching the surface of market opportunity.  The team projects that Eastern WA alone could be potentially a ~$100M+ market and 40+ person team with the appropriate Sales Leader at the helm.  The lead/appointment flow has been incredibly strong, putting the sales team at capacity demonstrating the need to hire and mature the function.  This leader will inherit a team of roughly 20 reps who cover the territory currently, but given existing lead flow, the team will be looking to add a minimum of 7-8 reps next year in 2024.  In addition, this leader will need to continue hiring, on-boarding, and developing a robust sales talent pipeline to scale this market successfully. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the In-Home Sales Representatives and Sales Support Representatives.
  • Achieve annual sales and customer satisfaction goals for the Eastern WA market.
  • Coach and develop a sales team that meets objectives, cooperates on team basis, and learns from individual successes - this includes sales ride-along visits with Sales Reps.
  • Track sales metrics, monitor daily results, and analyze for corrective action.
  • Develop annual sales goals for sales team, by territory and Sales Representatives.
  • Conduct Sales meetings that include plan reviews and role playing
  • Conducts one-on-one meetings with Sales Representatives to review sales activity results and establish corrective plans as needed.
  • Teach our sales process by modeling the core behaviors. Provide communication and clarity around our sales process systems.
  • Establish an environment where all customers and employees are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Lead on-going training, hold sales contests, and conduct a formal performance review annually with each Sales Representative.
  • Developing others; build talent pipeline for succession planning within the WA market.
